RINO (Republican In Name Only) Alerts

RINO Alerts are warnings that are issued to people that are interested in restoring the United States back to a constitutional republic that an elected Republican has violated the US Constitution by voting for or approving an unconstitutional bill, by issuing an unconstitutional executive order or by going against the principles of limited government, freedom and liberty.  Whenever RINO Alerts are issued everyone should contact the elected official(s) that have violated the US Constitution or have gone against the principles of limited government, freedom and liberty and inform them that you are displeased with their actions and are going to work towards removing them from office in the next election if they continue to disregard the US Constitution or work against the principles of limited government, freedom and liberty.

Everyone that is concerned with their freedom needs to fully understand the importance of keeping an eye on your elected government servants.  If people do not hold their elected government servants responsible for their jobs the elected servants will have little incentive from keeping their own personal interests separate from those of the public.  By keeping a close eye on our servants we can be sure that they are performing their jobs correctly.  If an elected servant is part of the legislative branch of government then the people must keep track of their voting record.  If an elected servant is part of the executive branch then the people must keep track of the bills that he or she approves and make certain that they are Constitutional and keep with the principles of limited government, freedom and liberty.  Most people of a conservative mindset will agree that most Democrats completely oppose the original meaning of the Constitution and only agree with the Constitution if its original meaning has been twisted to support the principles of unlimited government power.  There are many Republicans that claim to be conservatives but unfortunately do not back up their conservative words with conservative actions.  The purpose of the RINO Alerts page is to bring these fake conservatives into the light and either force them to be true conservatives or replace them with people who will actually defend the principles of limited government, freedom and liberty.

Ohio

John Kasich - As of 07/21/13 John Kasich is the governor of the State of Ohio and is classified as a RINO for the following reasons:

  1. As a representative of Congress he voted for the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (HR 4092), also known as the Assault Weapons Ban, on April 21, 1994.  This bill is unconstitutional  because it directly violates the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.
  2. As a representative of Congress he voted for the African Growth Bill (HR 1432) on March 11, 1998 which would have provided funds (650 million) to African nations in order to promote sustainable economic growth for them.  This bill is constitutional as Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution does not grant Congress the power to spend money on foreign aid.
  3. As a representative of Congress he voted for the Medicare Rx bill (HR 4680) on June 28, 2000 which would have expanded the system of Medicare and provide free prescription drugs to people below 135% of the poverty line.  This bill is unconstitutional as Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution does not grant Congress the power to set up an entitlement program plan such as Medicare.
  4. As a representative of Congress he voted for HIV/AIDS funding (H Amdt 983) on July 13, 2000.  This would have added $40 million dollars toward fighting HIV/AIDS for children.  This bill is unconstitutional as Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution does not grant Congress the power to spend  money on medical programs.
  5. As governor of Ohio in February of 2013 he proposed to raise taxes on oil and gas companies by raising the amount of severance taxes that they pay.  This goes against the principles of limited government and works against the principles of a free market economy.
  6. As governor of Ohio in February of 2013 he proposed to comply with a provision of ObamaCare to expand Medicaid in Ohio.  The expansion of welfare programs such as Medicaid goes against the principles of a limited government.  The underlying law (ObamaCare) is also unconstitutional as Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution does not grant Congress the power to spend money on medical programs.  Because this law is unconstitutional at the federal level the governor of Ohio should do everything possible to nullify this law but instead Governor Kasich decided to comply with the law and expand Medicaid in Ohio.
