Forum - World News

The World News Forum is here to discuss issues that relate to everyone on the planet and not just the people of the Unites States of America.  There are many issues / stories from around the world that tend to affect the principles of freedom and liberty back here at home in the United States.  The U.S. military tends to get involved often with butting into the business of other countries such as Libya, Syria and Egypt.  Why do we get involved with the affairs of other countries?  Thomas Jefferson once said, “It ought to be the very first object of our pursuits to have nothing to do with the European interests and politics.  Let them be free or slaves at will, navigators or agriculturists, swallowed into one government or divided into a thousand; we have nothing to fear from them in any form. . . To take part in their conflicts would be to divert our energies from creation to destruction.”   I fully believe as Thomas Jefferson did that we should mind our own business for the most part when it comes to dealing with the affairs of foreign nations but that we should also be fully open to trading with those countries who respect human rights.

The topics in the World News forum should cover international matters such as:

1. Military conflicts that the United States and other nations are involved with, especially when the conflict involves the United Nations or NATO.

2.  The role the United Nations and NATO plays in creating a one world government run by non-elected bureaucrats.

3. Natural disasters that could economically or otherwise effect the United States such as the Fukushima nuclear disaster that happened in Japan in March of 2011.

4. What other governments are doing in conjunction with the United States that affect the freedoms of Americans.  This would include things like international gun control treaties or international carbon taxes or free trade agreements.
